Trinity's Ministry Commissions oversee the program areas at the Cathedral: Arts, Education, Children, Youth & Families, Music, Parish Life, Pastoral Care and Outreach.
Adult Education Commission
Through Trinity’s Adult Education program we offer a full-spectrum of Christian education classes, events and Wednesday evening and Sunday morning programs that inspire, encourage and guide us along our spiritual journey.
Trinity’s Center for Spiritual Development
A part of Trinity Adult Education program, Trinity’s Center for Spiritual Development offers a yearly lecture series, classes, workshops and retreats in Christian theology, Biblical literacy, spiritual formation and practice for those both inside and beyond the gates of Trinity. Music Commission
The Music Commission at Trinity Cathedral seeks to glorify God through music and worship. We offer a full program of music at Trinity including a 60-voice adult choir, an auditioned chamber choir, and two youth choirs. Outreach Commission
The Outreach Commission is to equip and send the Cathedral community to serve, empower, and seek justice for the marginalized members of our local community and the wider world. We offer services in a wide variety of ministries including: advocacy and education, food pantry distribution and holiday meals, and outreach to the wider Portland community. Parish Community Life Commission
The Parish Community Life Commission welcomes all people who come through our doors in search of opportunities through the nurture of members, visitors and explorers within our parish and beyond, the building of a spiritual family within which people can grow, enhance communication to better inform our parish.
Pastoral Care Committee
The Pastoral Care program at Trinity offers visits, letters, prayers, and programs for the varied pastoral needs of members who may be home-bound, ill, recovering from surgery, welcoming a new baby, mourning the loss of a loved one, or experiencing life transitions. Cathedral Arts Committee
The Cathedral Arts Program seeks to bring together teachers, mentors and students in an exciting, inclusive, non-threatening environment where each person, youth or adult can grow and experience the artist within. We offer art exhibits/sales and instructive classes for adults and children in a variety of fun and challenging media.
