Worship Services at Trinity Cathedral
The worship of God our Creator, Redeemer and Life Giving Spirit is foundational to our community life at Trinity. Worship provides us with an important opportunity to experience transcendence in our lives, to be lifted out of earthly toil, to be refreshed, and to be healed and restored in our ability to love our neighbors as ourselves. For it is in the majesty of worship that we are enabled to both soar with the angels to heaven and experience the love of God come down to earth.
Trinity is blessed with an awe-inspiring sanctuary, a gifted music program and talented preachers. Our worship is founded on the liturgical practices of the Episcopal Church, the Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal. While traditional in origin, our worship services are crafted together in contemporary ways to respond with relevance to current concerns.
In our worship at Trinity we experience Jesus' welcome to abide in God's Love - not in a love of our making, but in the love of God that knows no limit, is afraid of nothing, and gives life to everything. We invite you to come worship with us and abide in God's love.
Sunday Services
Holy Eucharist and Sermon: 8:00 a.m. Rite I, in the Chapel
This liturgy makes use of the traditional language found in Rite One of The Book of Common Prayer. This service includes a sermon and is celebrated without music in the Chapel.
Holy Eucharist and Sermon: 10:00 a.m. Rite II, in the Cathedral
In the language of the Episcopal Church, this service is referred to as Holy Eucharist, Rite II. This means that the language is more “contemporary,” yet the liturgy is traditional, with a weekly celebration of what in some traditions is referred to as the Mass, Communion, or the Lord’s Supper. The fine organ and large choir offer music which deeply enrich the liturgy. Many people come to Trinity for superb music.
This service usually lasts about an hour and a quarter. The coffee hour follows immediately after the service, in Kempton Hall, our parish hall.
Christian Education: 9:00 a.m. in Kempton Hall or The Morrison Room. Classes being held and their locations are posted on the whiteboard at the entrance to Kempton Hall.

Harvest: A Celebration of Abundance Set to the Music of Neil Young

Saturday, September 18, 6 p.m.
Join Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for a Eucharistic celebration of harvest and abundance set to the music of the man recently named the second most influential living songwriter, Neil Young. The offering will go to Trinity's food ministries, which served nearly 20,000 meals in 2009 and is on track to exceed that this year. If "rust never sleeps," then neither should our fight against hunger. A full set of Neil songs, from "Helpless" to "The Way," will echo through the cathedral as Trinity’s Band and Children’s Choirs lead us in worship set to the music of a legendary singer, songwriter, and prophet. Contact Pam Knepper for more information.
Other Alternative Liturgies
Second Saturdays at 5 pm: October 9, November 13 and December 11, 2010; January 8, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14 and June 11, 2011
