Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer…Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.  Live in harmony with one another.

…from Romans 12

Vision Statement for the Pastoral Care Team adopted 1999

The Pastoral Care Team (PCT) consists of trained individuals who are called to provide an ongoing pastoral relationship with those who are ill or housebound or experiencing difficulty. This pastoral relationship consists of embodying the presence of God and of the Trinity community through a relationship of friendly visiting and prayer. Pastoral Care Team members are assigned by the Canon Pastor. This determination is made through conversations with potential care receivers (and/or their primary caregivers, as appropriate), team members, and clergy persons.
