Recently, Sarah McIver, our Communications and Facilities Manager, announced her resignation. Sarah has accepted a new job at Nike. This is a great opportunity for her, with much higher compensation, much less commuting time, and great benefits when Sarah and her husband, Justin, start a family. So, we are very pleased for her and congratulate her on this important next step in her life. But, we are also sad because Sarah has been an important member of our staff. She is very talented and has always worked cheerfully – spreading joy as she carried a heavy work load. I am grateful to Sarah for who she is and the way she has served at Trinity. This Sunday, at our coffee hour after the 10 am liturgy, we will celebrate Sarah’s work with us and bid her blessings upon her new endeavor. So look for Sarah this Sunday and wish her well. Now, the good news is that, in her time with us on staff, Sarah and Justin have become members of Trinity. This means we will lose her on staff but we keep her as a friend and fellow Trinitarian.
We have already begun the process of seeking Sarah’s replacement. This week, we have received more than forty resumes from persons interested in the job. In the near future, we expect to bring in a highly qualified person to fill Sarah’s shoes. In the meantime, we are grateful for parishioner, Greg Hetrick, who is helping us in the office on a temporary basis. |

Dear Trinity Friends:
I arrived in Portland on September 17, 2004. I began working at Trinity on October 4, 2004. So much of my life in Oregon has been touched by my friends and co-workers at Trinity. With mixed emotions, I’ve decided it’s time again to make a move – this time, a job change. The things I’ve learned at Trinity I’ll carry with me, and the friendships I’ve been able to build will come with me also.
My husband, Justin, and I will continue to be members, and plan to find some ways to stay connected to the parish. I’ve enjoyed my time as an employee so much, and we have both enjoyed being part of this community.
I’d like to extend my thanks to all of you for the support, love and friendship that has been so generously given to me over the last 3 years.
Sincerely,
Sarah McIver |
