Children's Music

All ensembles are open to all interested singers,

regardless of religious affiliation or prior musical experience.

Youth choirs meet from September to the first week of June.

Age 3 - Kindergarten
Sundays 9:00-9:50am

St. Francis Room

As Trinitots, young children explore the music of the church in an interactive way as they sing, move, and play on simple instruments. Every month at the Church @ the Commons service, the Trinitots are encouraged to help the Choristers lead some of the hymns. Parents are warmly welcome but not required.

The Choristers is open to all children who enjoy music and singing. This choir rehearses once a week and provides musical leadership for the monthly Church @ the Commons service in Kempton Hall. Rehearsals take place in a fun atmosphere that requires a smaller time commitment than the Trinity Choir School. The Choristers is a dynamic, inclusive, and energetic group of young singers who explore church leadership through music. Contact: Amy Polo

The Training Choir comprises third graders who aspire to become members of the Boys & Girls Choirs. Singers learn the basics of music theory, vocal production, and sight-reading, and gain the skills they need to contribute to the choir. This choir gives newcomers a structure through which they can learn about life in the full choir. Members of the Training Choir are inducted into the Boys and Girls Choirs in June. They participate fully in rehearsals and in leading liturgy at the Cathedral. They receive instruction in music theory, sight-singing, and healthy vocal production. Choristers benefit from an advanced music curriculum, and they are offered individual instruction in piano.

The program provides each chorister with the necessary musical foundation to carry out the Cathedral's full schedule of services and concerts. Choristers receive a small stipend based on attendance in recognition of their service to the Cathedral. Contact: Music Office
