Nicholas Stigall

Organ Scholar

About Nicholas:

Nicholas was introduced to the organ at age 15 by the children’s choir director at his church. While he has played piano since the age of three, Nicholas spent most of his childhood training as a competitive gymnast.

After recurring wrist injuries thwarted his dreams of becoming an Olympian, Nicholas discovered a newfound love for music – eventually dedicating his time to organ and church music primarily. Nicholas graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with highest distinction in May 2023 with a major in Organ Performance and a minor in German. A native of Knoxville, TN, Nicholas is excited to live on the West Coast for the first time to serve as Trinity’s Organ Scholar.

Nicholas recognizes the importance of core strength in organ playing, so you will often find him attending Pure Barre classes in his free time. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and drinking green tea.

Fun Fact:

Nicholas grew an entire foot in the year following his retirement from gymnastics!
