Leigh Wilson

Senior Warden

Leigh's early years were spent in Tillamook, OR, where she was baptized and confirmed. Her family moved to Portland when she was ten, and she graduated from Lincoln High School before attending the University of Colorado and earning bachelor's degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology & Psychology. She attended graduate school at University of Washington, where she obtained a Masters in Audiology, and returned to school in 2013 for a Master’s in Business Administration from OHSU/Portland State University focusing on healthcare management. Leigh's professional life consisted of four decades working with her David in his medical practice, first as an audiologist and then as practice administrator, until their retirement in 2016.

Having attended attended Ascension Parish and Trinity Church as a child, Leigh returned to Trinity in 1983 after a church hiatus during college. Leigh & David were married in the chapel, just as her parents had been. Leigh has been actively involved at Trinity since the early 1990s on a variety of committees, commissions, task forces, and guilds, including Growth Group, Altar Guild, Lay Eucharistic Ministry, ushering, Outreach, Global Action, two Honduras adult investigative trips, Annual Giving, the Discernment Committee, capital campaign, Comprehensive Campaign, and the Dean Search committee. On the diocesan level, she has served as a diocesan delegate and on the Commission of Ministry for the Ordained. She has been a member of the Cornerstone Community, and continues with a number of spiritual practices and programs at Trinity.

She has been involved with a number of non-profit organizations, including serving on the board of the Deafness Hearing Foundation (New York), and as president of the board of William Temple House. She currently serves on the board of the Marie Mills Foundation (Tillamook), which focuses on developmentally challenged adults, and Project Access NOW (Portland), which provides access to health care for underinsured individuals.
