If you're curious about the molecular nature that makes up life, join us as we dive into the microscopic wonders and workings of life – and consider how technology impacts our understanding of science, ethics, and faith. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of basic molecular biology and share ideas about how science and faith provide complementary approaches for navigating and improving our world. About the presenters: Kara Cerveny is a Professor of Biology at Reed College who, with the help of many dedicated undergraduate students, explores how cells transition from proliferation to differentiation in the developing nervous system. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the MJ Murdock Trust, the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation, and Project Pericles. She loves to take pictures of living…
