Can war ever be justified under Christian teaching? "Just war" theory in Christianity goes back to St. Augustine, but it’s always been controversial, and often abused. Recently, Pope Leo has joined the chorus of critics. In this class, we will discuss the theological pros & cons and the implications for current conflicts in the world.
