About the Event

We will discuss the significance of The Longest Night from a variety of spiritual perspectives and engage in exercises that help us connect with the silence and darkness of winter. About the presenter: Melissa L. Bennett is a descendant of the Umatilla, Nez Perce, Sac & Fox, and Anishinaabe Nations. She is a spiritual care provider and writer living in rural Oregon. Melissa has a Master of Divinity degree and completed her chaplaincy training in forensic mental health before serving ten years in higher education. She now operates her own spiritual care practice, seeing clients virtually for spiritual mentorship and support. Melissa is a member of the 2024 Changemaker Author's Cohort and the Macondo Writers Workshop and is currently working on her first book-length manuscript. To learn…
