Evensong for Nerds

(Hybrid - in person & online) Join Dean Nathan LeRud, Canon Bruce Neswick and Organ Scholar Katie Burk for a deep dive into the quintessential Anglican tradition of Choral Evensong. We’ll explore what Evensong is and where it comes from, how the service shaped and was shaped by English cathedrals, and how worshippers can connect more deeply to the different “movements” in this service of prayer, song, and silence. Sometimes called a “spiritual bath at the end of the day,” Evensong is a treasured part of cathedral life in the United Kingdom and around the world, and is quickly becoming a new and beloved weekly tradition at Trinity.
