Break out of your winter doldrums with this collection of fine art depicting flora found in Oregon's hidden places. This exhibit features 36 original drawings & paintings by members of Oregon Botanical Artists (OBA), a thriving, diverse community of artists dedicated to perpetuating the contemporary practice of botanical art while honoring its traditions. Their vivid illustrations bring to life the diversity of plant life, particularly highlighting those species and ecosystems which are imperiled. Discover how learning about native plants helps us address important contemporary issues around environmental conservation and the diverse ecological regions of Oregon.
About Oregon Botanical Artists: OBA members represent a wide range of knowledge, creative and technical skills, and includes botanical art appreciators, and those who celebrate the importance of plants in the world. Oregon Botanical Artists was established in 2012, and is associated with the American Society of Botanical Artists as an Artists Circle. Learn more at https://www.oba-artists.com.
