About the Organist: Dr. Lynn Trapp enjoys a career as concert organist, conductor, composer, pianist, author and liturgist.  Since 2015 he has served as Director of Liturgy & Music at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Baltimore where he oversees an extensive liturgical minister program, serves as choirmaster and organist/pianist, and supervises university scholar singers.  

Prior to this appointment he served St. Olaf Church in downtown Minneapolis for twenty years. He is an active organ recitalist in the U.S. and Europe, has more than 100 organ, choral and instrumental compositions held by several major publishers, and as co-director of the American Pilgrimage Choir since 1997 has led performance tours to thirteen European countries and the Holy Land.  He is a frequent presenter and recitalist at sacred music and worship conferences. 

Lynn is the recipient of the International Spirit and Truth Award from the University of Notre Dame where his career archives are established in perpetuity at Hesburgh Library.  His composition library is also housed at the Church Music Institute in Dallas.   He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (BM), University of Notre Dame (MM), and after beginning doctoral work at the Eastman School of Music completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Kansas.  He is married to Karen Trapp, with son Logan.
