About the Organist: Organist and Oregon native Zachary Duell holds degrees in organ performance from the Eastman School of Music (M.Mus.) and Willamette University (B.Mus.) where he studied with Nathan Laube and Paul Klemme, respectively. In addition to his organ studies at Willamette, Zachary studied choral conducting with Wallace Long and sang in the Willamette Chamber Choir and the nationally acclaimed Willamette Singers vocal jazz ensemble. He has been admitted to several conferences and organ academies and has played in masterclasses for renowned international organists including Paul Jacobs and Michel Bouvard. Zachary is a recipient of the 2020 E. Power Biggs Fellowship of the Organ Historical Society and performed for the 2023 National Convention of the Society in Toronto.       

An enthusiastic church musician from a young age, Zachary currently serves as the full-time Director of Music & Organist at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan in Corvallis, Oregon, where he directs three choirs, oversees the parish music ministries, and manages the successful Sundays @ 3 Concert Series. Outside of the practice room and the church, Zachary spends his free time reading, taking in the country’s striking natural beauty, and cooking for his family and friends.
