About the Event
(Hybrid) Poet and teacher Canon Liz Harlan-Ferlo will lead us through some of the ways our scripture uses the techniques of poetry to help us understand God more deeply. From the Psalms to the parables, approaching the text with a 'metaphor mindset' will enrich our experience of scripture and give us 'ears to hear.'

Liz Harlan-Ferlo is a poet, educator, caregiver, and one of your cathedral canons. Her debut poetry collection, Incarnation Again, was published in 2022. Her poetry has appeared over twenty literary journals and magazines including The Christian Century, Anglican Theological Review, the Windover, Poet Lore, Fourteen Hills, and can be found in the Gumball Poetry machine at The Stacks coffeehouse in Portland.
