About the Event
(On Zoom; taught by the Rev’d Chris Bell)
In the early 19th century, prompted by advances in science and biblical scholarship, a new variety of Christianity known as religious liberalism emerged in contrast to orthodoxy and fundamentalism. As still practiced here at Trinity, this expression of faith emphasizes freedom of conscience, tolerance for difference, and the power of reason and intuition. Together, we’ll consider its past, present, and future.
