About the Event
The first celebration of Easter—one of the most extraordinary services of our tradition—beginning with the kindling of the new fire, storytelling, and culminating in the first joyful proclamation of Easter. Gather with us for this ancient practice of keeping the Easter feast. In person & livestreamed to YouTube & Facebook. Childcare available 6:30-9:30 pm.
Experience the magic & mystery of the Great Vigil: the first feast of Easter and the most holy night of the church year, filled with ancient tradition and sacred beauty. This year, we will gather in the Courtyard for the storytelling and songs that make up the first part of the service (weather permitting). We will provide chairs & blankets, but be sure to dress warmly and wear shoes that can handle mud if needed!
If you prefer not to be outside, gather in Kempton Hall to watch the broadcast from the courtyard. Then we'll all move together to the cathedral for the great proclamation of Easter!
