About the Event
The Desert Mothers were hermits and ascetics in the 3rd to 6th centuries who sought the isolation of the desert life to deepen their connection with the Divine. Early monastic communities grew up around some of these women, who sought the quiet and solitude of the desert to live in prayer and service – a tradition they passed on to their followers.
Join us as we look at the wisdom of these desert mothers in light of our contemplative practice in a noisy world.
Free; donations gratefully accepted. No experience necessary.
