About the retreat: Poetry spans centuries and faith traditions and can be a powerful portal to spiritual practice. Join poet Elizabeth Harlan-Ferlo as she leads us in an exploration of the spirituality of words, using close reading, reflection, discussion, and writing, and working with sacred texts from Christian, Jewish, and Muslim traditions. In-person only.
About the presenter: Elizabeth Harlan-Ferlo, author of the poetry collection, Incarnation, Again, is a teacher, writer, facilitator, mother, and curator of Interfaith Muse. She holds a certificate in contextual theology, an MFA in Poetry, and served as an Episcopal school chaplain for nine years.
Of Incarnation, Again, author Rajiv Mohabir writes: “In her debut collection, Elizabeth Harlan-Ferlo shows how life twists as a vine from the earth into the heavens through prayer. The speaker rescues and resuscitates theologies again and again from superficial human division and begs us to merge the flesh and spirit. I return to these poems not for answers but to deepen my questions.” Learn more at elizabethharlanferlo.com.
