About the Mini-Retreat: Julian of Norwich is the kind of mystic you'd like to have living next door. Much like our own, Julian's time was one of war, religious conflict, natural disasters, and pandemic – so she understood a thing or two about suffering. Her confidence in God's motherly love & goodness provided a powerful antidote to the pessimism and chaos surrounding her.
Join us at our April Mini-Retreat as we explore her down-to-earth, feminist theology using guided meditation, discussion, and writing – learning to better appreciate how for Julian, a hazelnut, like all creation, "endures and ever will endure, because God loves it." In person only.
About the presenter: Marla Martin Hanley, PhD has over 40 years’ experience in college teaching and curriculum design.
