With Gladness and Singleness of Heart: Works of Inga Dubay

A retrospective exhibition by artist, educator, and longtime Trinitarian Inga Dubay celebrating her lifelong search for meaning through art. For Dubay, making art is “a normal yet profound quest,” where each piece emerges from a process of doing, failing, and trying again. Her work explores the joys and sorrows of daily life, holding together the fragility and strength, conflict and resolution, dissonance and harmony that shape the human journey.

Working in painting, drawing, printmaking, and calligraphy, Dubay often weaves meaningful words into visual form. Text may appear forward and backward, arranged in grids, or embedded in abstract shapes, echoing ancient writing patterns and natural proportions like the golden mean.
