About the Event
Join us on the first Sunday of every month at 4:30 pm as organists from around the globe present pre-Evensong recitals on the beautiful Rosales Organ! This month, we welcome organist Dr. Joseph Peeples, staff organist at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, who presents a recital featuring music by J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn and Louis Vierne, among others. The recital will be immediately followed by Choral Evensong at 5:00 pm. Watch online on YouTube or Facebook
About the organist: Dr. Peeples, a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, is the newest of five staff organists at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, where he participates in the daily recital series on the 206-rank Æolian-Skinner organ and accompanies the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square on the choir’s weekly radio and TV broadcast, “Music and the Spoken Word.” His duties also include accompanying and teaching at the choir’s training school, the Chorale at Temple Square.
