Join us every first Sunday at 4:30 for a special half-hour recital on the Rosales organ. This month, we welcome concert organist Wyatt Smith. The recital will be followed immediately by Choral Evensong, a beautiful and contemplative service of readings, prayers, and choral music.

About the organist: American concert organist Wyatt Smith is a native of Rapid City, South Dakota. He performs with “nuance, polish, and personality” (Michael Barone, APM Pipedreams). Wyatt concertizes extensively, keeping an active concert schedule throughout the United States and Europe, including concerts in 28 states, Germany, France, and England. Additionally, his performances and recordings have been heard on multiple episodes of American Public Media’s Pipedreams.
Dr. Smith serves as the Instructor of Organ & Harpsichord at the Epiphany Music Academy in Seattle and as the Affiliate Artist in Organ & Harpsichord at the University of Puget Sound. At UPS he teaches applied lessons, curates the care of the Paul Fritts organ in Kilworth Chapel, and performs “Organ at Noon” recitals throughout the year.
Dr. Smith holds degrees in organ performance from the University of Washington (DMA), Yale University (MM), and the University of South Dakota (BM). His primary teachers have included Dr. Carole Terry, Dr. Martin Jean, and Dr. Larry Schou. www.wyattsmithorganist.com
