Outreach Forum: Charity

This February, join us as we explore the model we use to make decisions about our Outreach programs – the continuum from charity to service, advocacy, and justice. We will hear from faith leaders and outreach workers in the community and reflect on how we can use this model to consider our own efforts in the world.

February 1: Charity 

Charity can be seen as giving money as a way to solve problems at a distance. It is always needed, seldom criticized, and satisfying to the giver.  We will hear about the Jewish approach of giving to make the world a better place.
