About the Event

*Please note: due to illness, this class will begin October 26*

(In person only; taught by Dr. Marla Martin Hanley) Mystics hunger for direct experiences of God's presence, with little appetite for pinning down precise doctrines. To better understand this mindset, we will map 14th-century mystic Meister Eckhart's four sacred pathways: the human experiences of awe, suffering, creativity, and transformation.

Discussions and activities will focus on historic and contemporary thinkers, artists, and poets to help us appreciate and cultivate some ways mysticism can enrich our spiritual growth and—maybe?—heal the planet.
