About the class: Frequent guest instructor Fumi Tosu leads an exploration of the nonviolent life and teachings of Jesus through the fresh insights of, The Gospel of Peace: A Commentary on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke from the Perspective of Nonviolence by author, peacemaker, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Father John Dear. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book at a discount. The series is a wonderful way to deepen our commitment to peace this Advent, as well as to prepare for a talk and book signing by the author at an event at Trinity on January 18, 2024.Â
About the instructor:Â Fumi Tosu is an educator, storyteller, and peacemaker, as well as the founder of Dandelion House Catholic Worker in Clackamas County, where many Trinitarians volunteer and serve. Fumi is a frequent retreat speaker as well as spiritual director. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA.
