This three-part series will include film, conversation, and first-hand historical details about the Japanese American experience in Oregon. Members of the parish will offer a historical overview of Japanese-American life leading up to incarceration during WWII.
Bishop Diana Akiyama, the first Japanese-American woman Bishop in the Episcopal Church, will join us for an informal conversation, reflecting on her own experience. We will end the class by hearing from generations currently coming of age.
