About the Event
...and how NOT to change someone else’s mind.
We’ve all been there. We’re having a contentious discussion about a political or social issue, but it feels like whatever we do—bringing up facts and figures, emotional appeals, etc.— the other person digs in deeper. In this workshop, we’ll discover how and why we often find ourselves stuck in contentious discussions about political, social, and theological issues – and more importantly, explore a better way though, together.
Led by Garrett Bucks, our 2026 Lent Reads Visiting Writer. This event is part of the 2026 Lent Reads series.
Free and open to the public. All donations will go to support the Barnraisers Project.
