Gina Skinner

Nominee: Vestry Class of 2028

Gina Skinner was born and baptized at the Episcopal church in Corvallis, Oregon, and she has remained committed to the comforts, pageantry, and community that the church has brought her through every stage of her life. 


Most recently, Gina reconnected her faith in 2011 at Trinity while attending Catechesis, instructed by Nathan LeRud, with her then-fiancé. In 2012, the two were married in the Cathedral by Bill Lupfer and family friend the Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori. 


Gina and her husband Scott have twins who regularly enjoy Godly Play and singing in the Choir School with Canon for Cathedral Music Katie Webb.


In Gina's professional career as an attorney, she has been committed to supporting vulnerable victims of domestic violence, helping them find safety, security, and justice in our community. The Episcopal Church has always been an oasis of calm, reverence, and inspiration that has maintained Gina's spirit and her commitment to addressing the trauma and needs of others. She is proud of the unwavering support that Trinity offers to humanity and the commitment to advocate for the rights and needs of all persons.


Gina has been a member of the same active and robust book club for 19 years with six other amazing progressive women. Her family enjoys going to Portland Trailblazer basketball games will soon also be attending our city's WNBA team, the Portland Fire. She looks for any opportunity to travel, read, exercise, garden, watch cooking shows, and follow March Madness. 


Gina looks forward to enriching her relationships with her family, friends, and faith during her new era as a Trinity vestry member.
